Our Story
Rooted in the Valley since 1869.
It began with two schoolteachers and a desire to gather for Scripture and song. More than 150 years later, that same heart for God and people lives on.
1869
Schoolteachers Saphronia Clark & Clara Telford launch the Union Sunday School with a May 1st picnic.
1874
Rev. WT Green preaches the first official sermon at Kern Hall on Main Street to 16 members.
1875
The first church building is erected on W. Alisal as the congregation grows.
1975
First service held in our current home — a four-acre campus at Blanco Rd & San Vincente Ave.
